About Functional Nature
Building Strong Bodies, Empowering Strong Souls:
Meet Lindsey Williams
Â
Lindsey Williams is an osteopath specializing in functional movement, breathwork, hormone health, and nutrition. She holds a degree in Kinesiology and has been involved in health and wellness since the late 1990s.Â
Lindsey's journey began as a competitive swimmer. Self-described as “not a natural athlete,” training instilled in Lindsey a love for fitness and movement. She soon began coaching high performance strength training for athletes, and later, to pursue a career in outdoor education.
As an outdoor education teacher in Banff, Lindsey realized her desire to empower others to lead active lives while engaging with the outdoors. A dedicated life-long learner, she completed a Masters in Leadership, to further help her students develop their self-confidence.
When her daughter was born, Lindsey became driven to convey a healthy body image – which meant addressing her own struggles. She shifted her attention to nutrition, creating Tasty Living, a successful raw-food treat company that was sold in local cafes and health food stores. However, Lindsey’s life took a turn when she suffered a neck injury, herniating two discs.Â
Motivated by her own long and arduous healing process, Lindsey dove into osteopathy, graduating from the Canadian College of Osteopathy as a registered Osteopathic Manual Therapist in 2022. Her hands-on approach combines her knowledge of the human body, passion for wellness, and commitment to empowerment through sustainable and holistic approaches. Â
Connecting with clients and meeting them where they are with authentic, nurturing support is Lindsey’s ultimate goal. Whether a seasoned athlete or exploring movement for the first time, Lindsey encourages individuals to develop a healthy body image and balance their hormones while establishing sustainable wellness practices that align with their unique needs.
Lindsey is excited to continue making a positive impact in her community with treatment at Canmore Osteopathy, and through her online community with the Aligned Wellness Collective.Â

Embracing the Functional Nature of Health and Happiness
Â
Lindsey is an entrepreneur, osteopath, and passionate wellness educator. With a deep reverence for human potential, Lindsey is on a mission to empower individuals to lead healthy, vibrant lives – without the cookie-cutter approach.
At the heart of Lindsey's methods is the belief in the functional nature of holistic health. Beginning as a competitive swimmer and strength training coach to athletes, she has cultivated a vast knowledge of the human body through her Kinesiology degree, Masters in Leadership, as well as personal experience as an outdoor education teacher.
Herniating two discs in her neck sparked Lindsey’s interest in osteopathy. The injury, along with her own personal body image struggles, encouraged her to tap into a broad spectrum of healing practices, and to change the way she looked at overall wellness and its relation to clients’ lives.Â
Lindsey’s wide range of offerings are tailored to meet the unique needs of her clients. She provides personalized consultations, comprehensive assessments, and develops individualized plans that can encompass nutrition, hormone health, exercise, stress management, and lifestyle modifications. Lindsey's experience in osteopathy also allows her to offer hands-on treatments that promote physical alignment, relieve pain, and enhance overall function.

"I have been working with Lindsey for a few years now. She is very mindful and intuitive and sets up a program that works with life and my capacity. She gently pushes me to be better and keep moving forward.
Her classes encompass the whole body whether it's a strength workout with body weight, a HIIT program, a functional workout or a yoga flow. At 44, I have never felt so strong in my daily movement capacities."
